We were recently visiting someone's house and I noticed while we were there that there was a cross on the wall that was crooked. I did not say anything but it made me think. How many of us have crooked crosses in our lives?
Many of us have crooked crosses from sickness, diseases, discouragements and disappointments. Jesus wants you to cast all of those cares upon Him. 1 Peter 5:7 states, “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.“
If someone cares for you, that means he loves you more than anything. He wants to take your hurts, pains, and help you get your cross standing back upright. He wants you to call upon Him and cast ALL your cares upon Him.
You see... too many times we cast our cares and concerns on Him, then take them back just to keep on struggling and struggling. I had a time when I would struggle like a fish out of water after I first got saved with things from my past and prayed and prayed about it and got no relief. However, when I went to a minister and shared with him, he laid his hands on me and we came to agreement. It felt like God poured warm oil all over my body, and I have not even had a thought of that previous life go through my mind.
I got help, but I cast my cares upon the Lord and left it there and did not go back and take it up again. How about you? What are you struggling with...temper, impatience, old hidden sins that no one knows about? Give it totally to God and He will care for you. He will patch you up, give you a big hug, and maybe even speak a word of encouragement to get you through. Maybe your healing won't manifest but God will care and give you the strength.
Sometimes we think no one cares. God does and He is there waiting to show you that He is. Reach out today and let go and let God.
